"Sacla" Start of Operation and Letter of Thanks Conferment
The XFEL (X-Ray Free Electron Laser) nicknamed as “Sacla” will commence its operation at RIKEN Harima Institute (Hyogo Prefecture) from March 2012.
A completion of ceremony was held ahead of the service on the 6th February, 2012 (Monday), to which both Mr. Nobuhiko Uesawa, President and Mr. Koji Shibata, Director attended from Meisei Electric.
At the XFEL, MPCCD (Multi-port CCD) is used as the main detector. Meisei Electric was in charge of development and manufacturing of the reading electron circuit of this detector.

At the ceremony the letter of thanks was awarded to Meisei Electric for its effort.
Meisei Electric’s measurement technology making use of the X-ray is playing important roles not only for the space development but also for the advanced science research segment.
