H-ⅡA Rocket No. 19 Successfully Launched

At 13:36 on the 23rd September, 2011 (Friday), the H-ⅡA rocket No. 19 carrying IGS-Optical 4 (Information Gathering Satellite) designated by Japanese Government was successfully launched from Tanegashima Space Center.

The PCE (Picture Compressor Equipment) , which Meisei Electric was in charge of, is being installed On the H-ⅡA. The PCE has a function to convert and compress analog image signal from the camera of up to 4 systems into digital image signal, and transmit the compressed image to the transmitter.

Also Meisei Electric was in charge of weather radiosonde for observation to check the state of sky over the space center prior to the launch of the H-ⅡA.
