Disaster Prevention Training at the House of Councilors

On the 1st September, Disaster Prevention Day, the disaster prevention training was held at the House of Councilors in Tokyo.

At the training Meisei Electric’s emergency earthquake alert system QCAST was operated and broadcasted widely to draw the attention among the members of the Diet and the staffs working at the relative buildings.

Meisei Electric’s QCAST series have commenced the operation at the House of Councilors since 2008 and they are playing an important role for the measures of the disaster prevention at the National Diet in the center of the politics of Japan.

“Among not only governmental offices but also public peoples it was intended to deepen widely their understanding and prepare mental attitude for the disasters caused from typhoon, high tide, tsunami and earthquake leading to the establishment of “Disaster Prevention Day” on the 1st September.”
