"QCAST" in Ginza, Tokyo

Meisei Electric’s emergency earthquake alert unit “QCAST” is exhibited in the showroom of SMBC, Ginza Branch out of their goodwill.
When being notified that an earthquake comes several seconds later in the case of an earthquake, it will enable us to prepare beforehand for protecting ourselves from the strong shakes.
Meisei Electric's "QCAST" receives emergency earthquake alert distributed by the JMA (Japan Meteorological Agency) and calculates/displays the estimated seismic intensity and also time to spare before the shakes come.
In addition, it will be also able to draw people's attention by broadcast widely or stop various equipment and elevators in the companies just before that.
The "QCAST" receiving unit and seismic intensity sensor sensing an earthquake are located at the exhibition together with an explanation panel this time. It is scheduled to be held until May 31. Please pay your visit to the exhibition and look at those.
