Shinmoedake (Kyushu Area) Volcanic Activity

The volcanic activity of Kirishima range Mt. Shinmoedake (active volcano) becomes active and continues intermittently from January 19. Furthermore, the explosive eruption has occurred from 27th and the lava dome has been formed. The pyroclastic flow has become very anxious as well.
Meisei Electric heartily prays that no any disaster takes place with the eruption.
The observation points of the Meteorological Agency are being established around this Mt. Shinmoedake, where Meisei Electric's "Volcano Synthesis Observation Systems" are installed and monitoring.
Since 2009 Meisei Electric has installed this system at the 47 places of volcanic mountain across the country for the monitor of volcanic activity.
