Letter of Thanks to Respective Manufacturer Involved in "HAYABUSA" Mission

Not only JAXA but also private companies and universities, who have been involved deeply in the asteroid explorer “HAYABUSA” project including Meisei Electric, were awarded letters of thanks by the ministers of MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) and of State for Special Mission “Space” on December 2, 2010 (Thursday).

The return from a 7-year Space trip of "HAYABUSA", to which the people in the world have paid cheerful attention. In addition, verification of the fine particles in the storing container of the capsule as the asteroid "Itokawa" origin in November 2010. These have in reality impressed us with a great dream.

The letter of thanks which was awarded to Meisei Electric assumes the pride of the employees and encourages the development and deployment for smallsat and space observation instruments.

The Venus space probe "AKATSUKI" with Meisei Electric's "Lightning and Airglow Camera" (LAC) is going to arrive at the Venus orbit on December 7, 2010.
