Successful Observation on "Gamma Ray Burst" (GRB) by "IKAROS"

The "IKAROS" is a "Small Solar Electricity Sail Proof Probe" launched with the Venus Climate Orbiter on May 21, 2010. It is also called as "A Space Yacht" since it is driven by light of the sun and now continues flying as scheduled demonstrating the acceleration by the solar sailing and the control.

The “IKAROS” performed the observation of “Gamma Ray Burst” (GRB) successfully on July 7, 2010. Meisei Electric was in charge of the development for “High Voltage Power Supply” installed on this instrument. Meisei Electric's technology contributes to solar sailing space yacht "IKAROS" attracting attention all over the world.
